adidas X Terribly Real — Karak Culture
This artwork is a love letter to one of the UAE’s most iconic street rituals — pulling up to your neighbourhood cafeteria, honking once, and watching the Karak magic unfold.
Set in front of a classic Dubai “baqala-style” cafeteria, this illustration blends nostalgia with modern street culture. The shopfront features playful local signboards — from “Open 24 HRS” to window tint ads — capturing the everyday visuals that make UAE streets feel like home. At the centre, the Adidas and Terribly Real marks sit proudly across the façade, merging global sports culture with local tradition.
A rugged 4x4, a familiar sight across the Emirates, rolls up to the counter while the server steps out with a tray of steaming cups. The “Honk For Karak” signboard on the pavement brings to life the community ritual that inspired this collab — spontaneous tea runs, late-night hangouts, and the unwritten rule that good Karak is always just a honk away.
Every element — the typography, the colour palette, the cafeteria details — is drawn in Terribly Real’s signature storytelling style, making this artwork not just a graphic, but a snapshot of UAE life. It celebrates the culture that shapes the streets: real people, real stories, and real Karak.
